Creative Fun for Little Ones
Springtime Play & Wonder
The birds are singing and the first blooms are peeking through! Let's discover the simple magic of nature together with our little ones this spring.
Outdoor Spring Spy Hunt
Get outdoors and explore the wonder of Spring! Simply print this free Outdoor Spring I Spy Hunt check list (laminate if you want to reuse it), grab a marker and take your kiddo(s) outside on a beautiful spring day to try to spy the items on the list, including fun Easter items. Some items could be collected for crafts (like clovers), so take along a bag to carry them!
Spring Measuring Practice
Grab a ruler and measuring tape and head outside to get some measuring practice! How tall is the biggest tulip? How long is your bike? How wide is the square you made with sidewalk chalk? Bring along a notebook if your child likes to record numbers. Happy measuring!
Spring Activities
Spring Flower Craft
Spring showers bring flowers! In between raindrops, you can pick some real flowers for this project. But if it is a rainy day, you will find all you need in this free download of Spring Flower Craft sheets to create a beautiful spring garden. Or, paint your child's hand and make that the flower for a special Mother's Day gift. Don't forget to take time to smell the flowers!
Comparing Weights with Balance Scale-Spring
My grandson loves weighing and comparing items with this balance scale. He quickly understood that the lighter items go up and the heavier item goes down. If your child likes to record data, you can use this free printable. For spring, you can compare items like jelly beans, plastic eggs, flowers, feathers, cotton balls, counting worms, etc.
Easter Egg Matching Game
Print out the pages. Cut the eggs out into strips and laminate if you want to reuse them. Give your kiddo some empty, open plastic egg pieces and challenge them to match the colors on the free downloadable printout. Use an empty egg carton to hold the eggs. Or, if you don’t have the eggs, you can give them play doh, construction paper/scissors or markers  in the same colors to match the egg patterns.
Quick Spring Printables
